JOB DESCRIPTION

Maintenance activities on all power distribution equipment to ensure network availability and reliability, supply quality, operational safety, and cost-efficient distribution of supply to customers in accordance with best maintenance practices.

Operational Management

Supervises others to deliver prescribed operational outcomes while working within established systems.

Prepare reports to inform management on Network issues relating to maintenance.

Data Collection & Analysis

Gather relevant maintenance data, analyze, and carry out corrective actions. In addition, highlights shortcomings and suggests improvements.

Budgeting           & Costing

Budgeting for the operations and Maintenance section while working within established systems

Contract Management

Delivers required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contractors within an established contract management plan

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Engineering/BSc. in Electrical Engineering or HND or related qualification for the first position
  • Should be a standing member of a recognized professional engineering body.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Proven Project Management skills.
  • Result Driven 

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 7 years of post-qualification experience in the electricity supply industry. Preferably in a reputable utility company's generation and distribution substation management/automation.
  • At least 2 years supervising and directing a team to achieve specific end results.
